| This painted blue version on grey plastic body is rarer that the Post-War Jersey Central and probably the rarest of all Post-War Lionel locosThe body of this locomotive is molded in gray plastic and is fully painted. The blue paint was applied first, it was masked, and vellow was applied over the blue, with "VIRGINIAN" subsequently rubber-stampedOnly a few blue 2331's were made this, (some estimates say less than 150)Regular blue 2331's have a body molded in blue plastic with only the yellow paintedThe color is distinctly different from the normal blue plastic versionGraded Excellent (C7) due to the crack on the right front corner of the long end (as shown), two dings on the ajacant step, and four dings along the bottomMany FM's left the factory with dings like theseThere are no scratches, and the overall appearance is Like NewPlease refer to our generic notes for more info on this extremely rare loco.
